June 2021 - send Save the Dates?

Christin, on November 25, 2020 at 10:06 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

Hey June 2021 brides! I need your advice on this. We are going to send our Save the Dates soon and I’m just curious if you chose to downsize your guest list before you sent yours or kept your original number? What guest count are you at? We’re not having a big wedding but still hoping things are a little more “normal” by June because I don’t want to have to worry about uninviting people if we decide go through with the date but we need to downsize! Any input is appreciated.

Hey there! I was in the same boat last month for my May 2021 wedding. I guess it depends on where your wedding will be. Here in CT, the lowest the indoor gathering limit was restricted to was 25, and that's where it is now. I know that by May, it might go up to 50 or (fingers crossed) 100. But, like you said, we don't want to have to uninvite people, so we only sent save-the-dates to our top 25 guests. And we'll see if we can invite more when we send out invitations in February.

Live in Mass but getting married in NH. I pray that by June there will be more normalcy but we limited our wedding to 80. With the expectation that probably only 65 or 70 will show.

Hi! I was supposed to ge married last June so my invites were already sent out. We got 80 rsvps and were just going to leave it at that. Whoever didn't reply, were just assuming is not coming and not reaching out again lol. Hoping by the summer with the vaccine coming out the gathering size will increase!

    Hello!

We sent the save the dates about 2 weeks ago for our July wedding. I sent them out for 100 guest. I actually sent out more than 100. 125 or so. Prior to sending them out our venue had a wedding for 100 guest the day before.
I am hoping that things get better, but if it doesn’t honestly people will have to understand. Smiley smile

Live in AZ & our guest list is around 90. I’m hoping that we can still have our dream wedding but am prepared to cut the list to half.

We are getting married in June and we already sent out save the dates. We had originally planned for about 75 people and we didn't downsize our guest list. We are planning on an outdoor ceremony anyway, and our venue has covered outdoor dining options if needed. I guess we are lucky that our venue already has pretty much everything we need even if we have to move everything outside. My fiancé and I had Covid last month so on the plus side we will have some pretty good immunity through the wedding (according to our doctor).

On the same boat here... I live in Pennsylvania and the wedding is set to be in Puerto Rico. The plan is a beach wedding. We have an invite list of over 100 guests. Haven't sent the save the dates yet... but will very soon. I will say all I have so far is the dress and the photographer booked. The venue is a big house on the beach we are renting where we can have the ceremony right on the back yard since it sits right on the beach and reception right there as well. With all the restrictions in place right now I haven't spent money on anything else until closer to the date just in case we have to cancel or downsize. weighing my options.

I live in NYC and I sent out my STDs to 50 people. we were supposed to have 120 guests but I don't think that's happening. If by May we could have more than 50 guests then we'll just invite more people Smiley laugh

    Hey girl!

I waited to send out STD until I was for sure about my guest list! I sent out my STD's last week and plan on sending out my invites after the new year in Feb/March 😊

June 2021 bride here postponed from June 2020. I am also hoping things are better. Since we already postponed once I was definitely going to make sure we weren’t going to have to do that again. We cut our guest list to 70 so we could keep it smaller. This is soooo stressful.
