Jumping the broom- What is the order?

DabC, on October 28, 2020 at 1:28 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4

Hello, is anyone jumping the broom or have jumped the broom? I'm trying to make my ceremony program and realized I don't know in which order it goes. Is it "kiss the bride, introduction of Mr. & Mrs, then jump"? or do we jump first, then kiss and get introduced?

Is there an actual standard or is it something we decide or is it something the officiant decides?

If the officiant is the one to decide then I just have to wait. We narrowed it down to 3 prospects but all appointments aren't until next month.

So yeah if anyone knows for sure, I'd appreciate your help.

The first option is what I know. Kiss the bride, the introduction, and then jump the broom before walking back down the aisle together!

Thank you. This is what makes most sense to me.

I've seen couples jump after they've kissed and been introduced as they're walking out.
