Just Said Yes July 2023

July 3 2023

Is anyone getting married next July 3rd? It’s a Monday. I am wondering if people will be off from work or just take off since the 4th is on a Tuesday.

Hi Courtney, There was another forum with the same question. Most people will be off on Tuesday, but for me personally I am taking off that Monday to have an extra day. I think most people will do the same.

My husband will only be off on the 4th and without reason wouldn’t just take the Monday off. So everyone is different.
I personally will be off because I’m a teacher.

    Hi Courtney,

Every company is different but I think most places will only be closed on the 4th, some companies let their employees leave a little bit earlier on the 3rd but not all. If the fourth falls on a weekend day the Monday after or Friday before is usually given but other than that I believe it s just the 4th that most people get off. It can be hard to tack onto a holiday like that too because there are probably other people wanting to do the same thing. Holiday weekends can be tricky, with traffic and lodging too. Good luck!

I agree with others that this completely depends on the company. So, just for another data point: My company only gives us the 4th off, no matter what day of the week it is (or we get the closest Monday off if the 4th is a weekend).

Unless your guests are teachers, no one will have Monday off unless they take the time off.
