I personally don't get the JR. Bride thing. I find it really creepy and unnecessary. Flower girl is the best option IMO

I would say age wise it makes most sense for her to be a JR. Bridesmaid. You could also ask her if she has a preference.

Flower girls can be any age you want. I saw an article recently where the bride had her grandmother be the flower girl. I would personally go with that option.

I’d ask her if she’d prefer to be a bridesmaid or flower girl. I wouldn’t do the mini bride thing, I agree with the previous post on that, but that’s just my personal preference, if you’re into it and she’s into it, then go for it lol.

My daughter is 11 going to be 12 when we get married and I made her a bridesmaid. I feel a 9 year old is to old to be a flower girl. Just my opinionSmiley smile

I would ask her preference. My 3 flower girls were 11, 9, and 7. They were adorable.

Agree with Munchkin9218, Jr Bridesmaids are weird to me. I'm having all three of my nieces be flower girls and they range from 8-10 y/o. However, HIS niece is about 11-12 and she has definitely "outgrown" the flower girl thing. if you think your daughter would enjoy being your flower girl and that's what you want, do it. I don't fully get the Jr. Bridesmaid thing. Either be a flower girl or a bridesmaid.

My fiance's daughter will be 9 and my niece will be 8, they will both be flower girls. I think they're young enough that that will be the most fun! Plus, I don't quite understand the junior bridesmaid idea, unless there was a junior groomsman...is that a thing? Haha. Really though anyone can be a flower girl! I've seen people have their grandmother as one, it's sweet.

I don't think there are rules for ages anymore for a flower girl. My sister's flower girl was 12. Two little girls just carried pomanders. The ring bearer was about 10, so it all balanced out. Junior bridesmaids are fine. It's just another title for a younger bridesmaid, but she could be a regular bridesmaid if that's what she wants -- she's a big girl now and that would be sweet - to give her a bigger "title." Talk with her and see what she'd rather do, but having a 9 year old throwing petals is certainly okay. Sometimes little girls panic and cry, and that could be most inconvenient!
