Jjs House

Has anyone bought their dress from JJs House? I found a dress identical to one I have tried on in a bridal shop for literally 1/3 of the price. So obviously I am thinking of buying mine from them but I need honest and real reviews!!!!

It is an Asian knockoff site. The picture you see is a stolen image of a real designer dress. Someone will take that image and try and remake that dress with cheaper materials. So the picture you see isn’t necessarily what you’ll be getting. It’s not something I would be comfortable doing but it depends if you can afford to risk it. Cocomelody, BHLDN, and Azazie are good options for cheaper dresses that are not stolen designs.

JJs House is a "buy at your own risk" type of place. The dress you found on their site will not be the actual dress you like. Instead, it will be someone (most likely in China) replicating the dress as cheaply as they can. Sometimes it works out, most of the time it doesn't. If you can risk losing that money then go for it. But if you can't, I wouldn't risk it. My bridesmaid got lucky and had her dress custom made using them. She had a good experience and her dress looked great. But I don't think I would risk it for a wedding dress.

I have bought two bridesmaid dresses from them and they were great. I’m not sure if I would trust getting a wedding dress from there though since like the above comments have stated they are stolen pictures and the dress may not actually be right.

My friend bought her wedding dress from them 4 years ago and it was beautiful. I know someone who recently purchased from them and was disappointed.

My mother ordered her MOB dress from them, and she did so before telling me so it was too late to warn her. The dress that came in was a disaster. She finally got in touch with someone to ask about returning and getting a refund. They would only refund 20% of what she paid for an absolute useless dress. She ended up donating it I believe. The PP is right about the dress in the photo not being the dress you will receive. They are notorious for stealing images from other designers and using them to display it as their own. Some lower priced options are Azazie.com and Cocomelody.com (both of which I personally brides that have gotten their dresses from). I got my dress from preownedweddingdresses.com and am super happy with it. It was a barely tried on sample in perfect condition. The dress retails at $1,600 and I paid $699. Two other sites like this are Stillwhite.com and Tradesy.com. It could be a good option. You may even be able to find the original dream dress on one of these sites. Good luck!

EDIT TO ADD: I have seen some ladies on here use Lulu's and they have been very happy with their dress. I just don't know anyone personally that has.

Buyer beware for sure — its a knock off site and they have stolen the images from the actual designer. If “your” dress is selling at a shop for $2500 and you found it online for $400, you’re getting dooped — you'll be spending hundreds on alterations for a dress that poor quality and doesn’t look anything the the photo — and then it will take forever to get in, so while you’re waiting for your cheap knockoff for months (or maybe it will never arrive) - you could have supported a small business with a great reputation and be guaranteed to get what you ordered in the time quoted. Save yourself some headache and shop small. If you like something that expensive - talk with them about potential discounts or payment plans. I mean ultimately, its our responsibility to shop within our budget but if you find something and its more than what you were hoping to spend. Talk with your shops owner — they would rather have you as a bride and offer a small discount or payment plan then have you walk away with out spending anything and then throwin money to the internet for a dress you’re not going to be happy with. OH and when that awful dress arrives and youre mad about the garbage sitting in your living room, good luck with a refund. I hear they next to never refund and if they do — its only a small portion of the original investment.

Avoid! I just purchased a dress for my brothers wedding in April on 2/17/19 and paid for expedited (2-4 days) shipping. Here is there response today when I asked why it still showed as “processing”. False advertising to the MAX. I ordered 6 swatches and they arrived in 4 days, I think they push that to gain trust as a live chat person also urged me to get swatches and order my dress with her right then and there (I had already ordered the swatches because color tones on any site are inaccurate). & as for them refusing to credit the extra shipping I paid...shipping is not paid until a label is made and sent to the currier, another lie. BUYER BEWARE!!!
    From JJS house support team:
“> We apologize for the inconvenience but please note that all the items are made to order, including those in standard size. We are afraid you will receive your order around Mar 14, 2019 at the earliest.
    >
    > The item you ordered has an estimated tailoring/processing time of 18-20 days and it will be shipped through expedited shipping which will take 2-4 days.
    >
    > Hoping for your understanding.
    >
    > As for the shipping fee, we are sorry it is not possible to refund you the shipping fee since it is paid to the shipping company directly. Please stay assured that we do not get any profit from it. In fact we just charged the lowest shipping fee”

I'm shocked you actually got someone to talk too.... they took my money and I couldn't get ahold of anyone.

If you don't end up getting your dress dispute it with your CC company I did that and they reversed the charge pretty quickly.

Yep! I am totally disputing charges. They may send dresses eventually, but it’s complete false advertising on their website! Disappointed in myself now knowing their based in China, but I thought they were legit after receiving swatches in good time. Lesson learned!
