Jj's House, Amazon & Etsy

Ali, on March 30, 2017 at 2:34 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

I have found some really beautiful wedding dresses on these sites. Has anyone bought online from any of these places? If so what are your experiences. Thank you in advance!

Etsy, yes as long as you read reviews.

    Amazon? Eh, i'd be skeptical

JJ's House? Hell no. They steal and copy real designer's designs, often producing cheap, ill fitting, wrong fabric knock offs.

In short, you get what you pay for. I've had great luck with Etsy, but I'm always sure to read reviews and policies first. I don't tend to buy clothes from Amazon unless I again, read reviews. And I won't support places that steal from others, so JJ's house it out for me.

Amazon is great! I bought the cutest dress for my bridal shower there and since I have Amazon prime i get free returns, which is why I prefer it to Etsy

I love Etsy. The quality is great often. I bought my jewelry from my wedding off Etsy and my belt and it's just amazing. Just read the reviews. However, if you don't like the item I've found lots of stores don't take returns and if they do, you pay for return shipping. So make sure you read the return policy before buying.

    Can't comment on jj house

ETA - id be skeptical to buy any wedding online though unless I knew I could return it. Just because I know I'd be a lot pickier about a wedding dress then normal clothes

I bought a dress from JJ's and it turned out great. It's not the nicest material and it can be risky.

I'm not sure about amazon or jjs house, but I got my dress from Etsy and I love my dress, just make sure you give the right measurements. I got it from my honeymoondress from Etsy shop.

    Here's the dress

Someone I used to work with bought a wedding dress from jjs house and it looked cheap and it was way too short to be a full length gown. She was going to return it but it was not worth the cost to ship it back to China. Don't waste your money on them, just pay a little extra and go with a company with a good reputation.

I've heard better things about Azazie than JJsHouse, trust me we found a lot of beauties from there but after hearing a lot of horror stories about JJsHouse then I would avoid it.

    Azazie.com !!

you can put in your custom measurements (which saves on alteration costs)

they will send you a sample to try on before you buy also.

I bought a dress from JJ's. I would suggest doing custom sizing. The first dress I ordered was too big. Returns are not easy and you will get stick with the dress you first order . The second dress I purchased was customized and it does nicely .

Assuming it's under Prime, I would be open to ordering dressing from Amazon. Their returns are so easy that it would be worth trying it out. My mom may order her dress for the wedding from them.

Honestly I would never buy a wedding dress online. I'm not going to not try on the most important dress I ever wear.

Etsy and Amazon are marketplaces for different sellers so you really can't generalize those, but instead you need to pay attention to the reviews for each seller and do a little research first.
