“Jewel Tones” or “tiffany Blue”

Lisa, on July 8, 2019 at 11:36 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7
We are in a bit of color scheme dilemma.
Our wedding is in October 2020, so I know I have a little bit of time to plan and things but I think that a color scheme is where all the details start!
My original plan was to have my MOH in a dark teal dress (peacock shade from Azazie), FH and BM in navy suits with ties in the Peacock shade. Flowers were plum and purple flowers. Tables with white linens, with navy napkins & chair sashes. This was my take on jewel tones.

Now... FH has a Tiffany & Co. “Tiffany blue” tie that he really wants to wear with a silver-grey suit.
So... tonight I’m thinking... FH and his BM in the silver-grey suits with matching Tiffany Blue ties. MOH in either (1) dark grey or (2) Azazie Spa or Turquoise (have to see the samples to match the Tiffany Blue). No clue what color napkins & sashes or flowers. I feel like the entire scheme is too springy and I don’t what it to look like a Tiffany store.
Or if I combine the colors I feel like would be too many (adding the grey suits & Tiffany ties to the darker scheme).
What are your thoughts? Suggestions?
Thank you!!

I feel like you can keep the teal dresses because I could see teal go with Tiffany blue

What if you did teal, tiffany blue, and navy? I think the dimensions would look really nice.

Something along these lines! You could easily incorporate navy if you wanted to darken it up.

It's all to your personal preference. We're also doing Oct 2020 and have burgundy, dark navy and gold as our colors. My ring is sapphire and red is a power color for me, so we went with burgundy to complement the dark blue.

To me, the Tiffany blue and teal feel like spring/summer colors. I grew up along the Jersey Shore, and those colors remind me of the ocean. BUT it's your wedding. You and FH can have whatever colors you want. Just because you're having a fall wedding, doesn't necessarily mean you need to have fall colors.

That's what I was thinking too! Ordered some sample swatches from Azazie to get a better idea of what it would look like. Was also thinking that if the guys have the Tiffany Blue ties, their pocket square could match the dresses!

I think that is what we are going to do! I just want to select the scheme so I can move forward and start buying things here and there!

How about keeping the Tiffany Blue he wants and putting that with the plum and purple you already were using for your flowers, with either shade of grey suit
