"jenga" Guest Book

Maire, on July 12, 2018 at 10:30 AM Posted in Planning 0 11

My fiancé and I are into games, so we thought this "Jenga" Guest Book would be a neat idea. I'm just stuck on what size to get. A standard table-top Jenga game consists of 54 blocks, this alt-guest book comes in various sizes of 56, 84, 112, 140 & 168 blocks. We're probably going to have 85-95 guests; what size do you think we should get? Can we get away with 54 (as there are two sides to a block that can be signed) or should we go for the 84?

sorry, I screwed up the link and it won't let me fix it. :-(

Aw, I love this idea! I would go with the 112 size, just to be safe. Even if all the pieces aren't used, it'll still look awesome!

If it were me I would do the standard size. That is if you truly will play with it. We are also huge game players and I feel like I wouldn't want to pull an extra big version out whenever I wanted to play. Plus like you said there are 2 sides, not everyone will sign it and you may get families signing together (unless you specifically tell them not to). If I were a guest I would sign me and my FH together. But I love this idea!

You could probably get away with the 54 piece one. Not everyone will sign it. Just be sure to mention it's okay to sign both sides.

Maire, I LOVE this idea!! I've never seen this before but think it's such a cool way to have a guestbook set-up! I would say go ahead with the 56 blocks, and just make sure to say that you can sign both sides!

I'd go for the 84, and if they aren't all filled you could always write your favorite memories from the day... remember when ... you cried during our first dance....our flower girl did a split on the dance floor.

I’d do the 56..not every single person signs; some sign on behalf of the couple/family. Also, like you said..worse case is there is more than one side to sign ap you’ll have more than enough room. It’ll look better than potentially having a bunch of empty blocks imo

I was thinking of a similar idea but with giant jenga. I was going to get some 2x4s cut to size but you reminded me that I would need a ton of blocks. I'm looking to have about 120 people so that would be a lot of blocks

I'd get the 84. There may be some folks who decide to write around the whole thing and of course there will be some who don't sign at all. But as someone already said, having blank ones are ok!

My fiancé and I are doing a Jenga guestbook. Fiancé and his best man is going to make their own from wood. They plan to make the blocks slightly bigger than normal sized Jenga blocks. If guests are writing on them, I suggest the extra fine point sharpies. I would get 84 just in case.
