So one of our groomsmen got engaged yesterday. And my groom is a little jealous. He thinks they could have waited til after we got married. (I guess he's annoyed we have to share the attention.) I told him he should have proposed earlier, because I wanted to get married next weekend.
Lol!
I was amused.
Dont worry, we are both SUPER happy for the couple. I just thought it was cute that he wanted all of the attention to be on us.

It is sweet. My FH is a bit annoyed that his son got engaged about two months ago, he 's happy for him, but our wedding is this coming weekend and his son decided to get married next month. Fiancee feels like his son is trying to make himself the center of attention...

Laura- didnt you have a similar situation with his daughter and her trying to sabotage your dates/honeymoon due to her stag/doe? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else. Seems like a lot of drama with his kids or your wedding put them into wedding thinking.

Ah so my husband's groomsman proposed a month before us and set his date before us and he was really dead serious about wanting us to set our date AFTER his aha

I think this is typical for all couples 20-40 since everyone in that age group is constantly getting engaged. It would be super weird for us not to have 5-10 friends engaged at the same time.

That's fair. We happen to be one of the last couples in both of our friend groups to get engaged. This guy is the last close friend we have that wasn't.

I think my guy is just surprised that not everyone takes their time proposing.
