Ivory dress with white petticoat?

Is there a photo or idea we can see for comparing the ivory and white? Without seeing anything, my gut reaction says ivory can look “dirty” next to true whites but it’ll really depend of type of fabric, lace/sequins, pearls,…..

Will anyone even even see the petticoat? Not likely. The dress material should be thick enough that it doesn’t show through.

Does the dress lined? If so, the petticoat would not have any effect. Even if unlined, the effect could just be to lighten the appearance a little.

That picture shows the dress with a champagne lining (but is not a big issue either). The petticoat's exact color should have little effect. You probably could try this at the store too.
