Ivory dress with white dress shirts for men?

Hi Kaitlyn! I honestly don't think anyone would notice and think it would look completely fine! What color pants and/or jackets will the groomsmen and groom be wearing?

The ivory of men's shirts is no where close to the ivory of wedding dresses. The color is also ugly, imo. Stick with white shirts. Men look fantastic in a crisp white shirts.

Definitely just do white shirt for the men! The picture posted about with the white vs ivory dress- that dress is a deeper ivory than normal! Here’s a wedding photo from my ivory dress! It’s only SLIGHTLY different!

No. You won’t notice. My dress was ivory and the men’s shirts were white. IF I stare at pictures looking at it, yes, I could tell you they’re not the same exact color. But, I don’t generally do that, and the pictures look fine.

I'd keep them in white. Ivory would look weird on them.

I was told the opposite by our menswear company and we got the men ivory shirts. But it depends on the shade of ivory, ours is very mild. Many men’s ivory shirts like the ones at men’s Wearhouse at every yellow.

Get the white shirts. Most ivory wedding dresses are what is considered "bridal ivory" and photographs more white. But even with true ivory the difference is slight. I had my dress custom made with ivory silk chiffon. I think it would have looked strange for DH to wear an ivory dress shirt with his tux.

For my brother's wedding recently, he had a crisp white shirt, navy suit, and a champagne (not ivory) colored tie. It looked amazing! I would highly recommend that combo, especially for folks with fair skin who are washed out by just white. It came at the recommendation of a professional wedding tailor, if that helps.
