As a dad, it’s honestly very difficult to understand baby dresses. I hadn’t gone shopping for my little cutie in a long time, and when I asked my friends for help, even they had no clue. That’s when I thought — wow, this is something only a wife can handle! But it’s a good thing to learn, right?
So I took my daughter, and we went to the physical market to find a dress for her. I literally walked into a shop and asked the salesman, “Do you have an 11 years girl dress?” He said, “Yes, we do.” But after spending 10 to 15 minutes looking, my daughter didn’t like a single one. I won’t lie — I got a little frustrated. But as a parent, we can’t show it. We love them too much.
We walked into another shop, and I told her, “You ask the shopkeeper yourself what you want.” She mentioned some beautiful name for a dress — something I’d never even heard in my life. Same story again. Nothing she liked.
But finally, she found the one. The moment she put it on, she looked absolutely lovely. And guess what? Her dress was more expensive than mine! I was shocked, but she was glowing with joy.
So, what did I learn from all this?
As parents, we should understand what our children truly love. We need to go with them when they shop — not just to buy things, but to understand their taste.
And the most important lesson? Don’t plan anything when your wife is not at home. 😂
Have you ever experienced something like this?
How many hours did you spend finding the right one?
Did you get frustrated like me when she said, “No, he doesn’t have it”?
Drop your stories — I’d love to hear them!
