It's Happening... regret!!

ChampagneDream, on April 16, 2014 at 4:33 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 22

I've been sharing like crazy so some of you know that I bought a beautiful pair of Badgley Mischka heels for my wedding. They are sooo beautiful and I was really confident that I could make them work. Well, after wearing them around in my house for a few weeks (hiding from FH of course) I am almost completely sure that I cannot wear them allll day long at the wedding. I'm having regret. I bitched up the bottoms so no returns... I'm really bummed. Thankfully no rush to find new ones!!

So as a spin off.... I want to hear what you girls are regretting. Are you suffering from an impulse buy like I am? Spill it!!

If you have any good ideas on comfy, all day wear heels... I'll take that too!!

TIA

I'm assuming that's a designer shoes? Maybe you can consign them?

I have no regrets Smiley laugh Or maybe I do, I just don't think about them.

Aww I am sorry! Having regret about a purchase, especially wedding related, is no fun.

I am regretting a bunch of crafty stuff I bought but will not use and can't return. Like spools upon spools of ribbon and beads and paper etc. etc. not as hefty a price tag as your shoes but still a chunk.

You could always wear them for the ceremony and pictures, and then change into more comfy shoes for the reception! I also have beautiful Badgley Mischka heels, but will probably be in flip flops by the time the dancing starts. Smiley smile

So far *knock on wood* I have no regrets yet... but I also have only gotten some of my vendors in line, as well as my dress, which is perfect and I doubt I will ever regret her haha.

Steve Madden shoes are my go-to's for nights out, so I'm planning on my tried and true for my wedding as well Smiley smile If you're okay with a closed-toe, I own these particular Steve Maddens in 4 different colors... don't let the price fool you:

The only other shoe brand I really love for comfort and obviously adorable, is Michael Kors. Expensive, yes but worth it. I have this style from a couple years ago that I love, as well as some great nude wedges for more casual outfits:

I have a shoe problem. These maaaaaaybe are not necessarily "wedding" looking but I didn't see your post of the Badgley Mischka's so I don't know if you're looking for strictly wedding shoes or not! Hope that helps!

Edit: The Steve Madden link wasn't working, so I went to find them again and found these satin ones... a lot more wedding looking than the patent leather!

This must be a theme, because my Badgley Mischka heels are the same. I thought, let me walk around to break them in- nope, they murdered my feet. I have wide feet so I don't know what I was thinking. I found some different ones at DSW and listed the Badgleys on tradesy.com

I have Badgley Mischka heels too!..my FH bought it for me last Christmas after I was going on and on about how pretty they are, now I'm wearing them in the wedding because it goes with the theme( its way too dressy to wear anywhere else). But now i regret asking for it....because it was a lot of money for shoes i wont wear again.

I have a pair of Mischka heels I wear with a few work outfits...they kill my feet after an hour.

Just get some flip flops for after the ceremony and make sure you have your photog take cute pictures of you in your fancy shoes.

Im also regretting my heels. I am seriously considering wearing them to work so that i can get used to them so they wont kill me at the reception. Too late to change now though, my dress is already altered.

I wore my wedding shoes for the ceremony only. I couldn't even make it out if the church before changing.

I bought a pair if toms in sparking ivory that were beautiful and comfy and everyone loved them.

Don't torture yourself in the shoes, nobody will care.

I have no clue what those shoes are? lol, I am soooo not girly!!!! I hate heels and never wear them. I am either going shoe-less or flats. I really love the lace bobs or toms

You guys are freaking me out! I just bought a pair of Badgley Mischka shoes for the wedding and I am notorious for taking shoes off early!

Looks like I'm going to have to find some flats to pull out after the ceremony!

I had shoe regrets. Mine were Benjamin Adams Lulu. They were so hard and uncomfortable but i suffered through it. The worst part is that they were very slippery on the hardwood dance floor. Toward the end of the wedding I took them off and went barefoot. When I came home I realized that a bunch of stones fell off which is crazy cause the shoes are over $400 so i called, complained and sent them back. Hopefully I'll get a refund.

I bought the badgley Mischka Nikki in royal blue, I want royal blue shoes that is my wedding color. I took them to try on my bridal dress, for purchase not a fitting. By the end of the 90 minute Appt I was in pain. When I went to the next bridal salon I could not stand them I had to be barefooted. I hated the the shoes were so hard to find and especially in that color. Also there real expensive, and they aren't comfortable. I bought the Dr Scholls dream walk, it helped a lot but just a couple of hours of sitting down at work and they again began to hurt. I am not a heels girl, maybe that's why. I wore them in carpet maybe I can return them but the trouble that I will go to find another pair of blue shoes might not be worth it.

5 pairs of designer shoes over the past year that I THOUGHT were the one and too lazy to return. I am going to stay with the final pair... a pair of Kate Spade shoes.

    Have your stretched them out?

    Molded them to your feet?

Put a thin pair of socks on

Take a blow dryer on high heat and blow the inside of the shoe till it is hot

Place on feet and walk around the house

Do this a few times over a day or two then try your shoes on with no sock

Voila ~ perfect fit and molded to your foot ~ comfy shoe just for you

Yeah, I think you should just wear them for the ceremony and pictures and then switch to something more comfortable afterwards.
