Italy

We are getting married in November so we hope things are kinda back to normal by then but if they aren’t then we don’t know what to do about our honeymoon. Our plan was Italy but we all know that state Italy was in with this pandemic so I’m not sure how they will be in November.
We wanted to seek other ideas. We thoughts about maybe the Bahamas, going to Yellowstone (might be too cold) we thought about doing a road trip with our pups to I don’t know where. we could do Key west?
We are just trying to find other options just in case Italy leant happen. A back up plan.

Yellowstone might be too cold and might have too much snow so roads could be closed. I recommend checking out the National Parks website, they normally have a driving conditions page or something like that, and that should give you an idea of conditions in certain months.
I’ve done a road trip from Tampa to Key West before and it was awesome. I love the keys and especially in November that will be perfect weather!! Plus they have really nice resorts on all the keys.

So, on the one hand, Italy is opening up enough to start having live sports in the beginning of June. Specifically, soccer, which is a Very Big Deal to them.

On the other, we don't really know what's going to happen with international travel (people are having a hard time getting passports right now).

Your best bet is to virus-proof your honeymoon by keeping it within driving distance and at something other than a hotel. You could also postpone to next year - DH and I waited about 5 months to honeymoon, because that worked best for our schedule and destination.

I agree with PP, however, Yellowstone will likely not be the best idea for December.

We are both pilots so we travel a lot and have to have our passports up to date just to work so that’s not an issue. We only get vacation once a year and our vacation is right after our wedding.
We are just looking for other options just Incase Italy doesn’t work out.

Oh gosh, I hope you get to go to Italy. That is our honeymoon destination too! We were hoping to go in late Sept/early October a few months after our July wedding, but we postponed the wedding so we are hoping May 2021 works. I kind of like the Key West idea!

Sounds like you may be looking for something a bit more adventurous, but I always recommend all-inclusive resorts for a more relaxing honeymoon. Best of luck! I love Italy!

If you're looking at national parks, it might be worth looking into Arizona / Utah. Perhaps the Grand Canyon? - also there are several other amazing park systems within a few hours drive from there (like Bryce Canyon). They will be chilly (especially at night) but not as much as Yellowstone that time of year. Key West would be good if you want to dive/snorkel (the weather is really nice in November/December). The big question is what you want to do?
