Italian/Irish Favors ?

OctoberBride, on July 3, 2017 at 11:27 AM Posted in Planning 0 13

Hi everyone! I have been spending way too much time trying to think of a favor that could somehow represent or be symbolic of my Italian family and my fiancee's Irish family....seriously can't think of anything. I might forget this whole idea because its causing me unnecessary stress lol. But wanted to see if any of you have ideas or have done something similar? I am on a budget so it can be DIY. I can be crafty if need be.... thanks in advance Smiley smile

I think if it's causing you stress and you're also on a budget, I would forget about it. You could allocate that money towards something else like a catering/bar upgrade.

Jordan almonds, wrap them in green and white tulle and tie with a ribbon with some clover. Enclose a note that says "Grazie ~ Go raibh maith agat from Mr and Mrs OctoberBride" or something like that.

You don't need favors. But the best favors are edible because honestly people throw away all other favors. You could do sugar cookies with half Italian flag and half Irish flag

Italian baked biscotti in a bag. Use rubber Stamp for Irish clover for the letter "O" in the word "LOVE" on the favor bag. Amazon has favor bags really inexpensive.

Little infused bottle of olive oil with a wedding bell tied around the neck. (Wedding bells came from Irish tradition).

If it's stressing you, and you have a limited budget, skip it. We did, and no one missed them.

We got Jordan almonds at a wedding once and fed them to the squirrels, in a park next to our hotel. I might add that guest hosting at that wedding was at the bare minimum and we certainly wished they would have skipped the favors, instead of reception food that night.

I'm Italian and Irish (and a little german) and am doing Jordan almonds in the favors (also having hershey kisses, german cookies and personalized guitar picks) I'm representing my Irish heritage with a wedding bell on my bouquet. Couldn't think of anything Irish for the favors

I've also seen cookies in the shapes of the states the bride and groom were from, you could do country shaped cookies.
