It happened. I regret my dress...

There's nothing wrong with my dress. It's beautiful and I felt like I was cheating on it when I tried on other dresses. It is so me. But I can't get the "runner up" dress out of my mind. It was A line tulle with a sparkly sheer top and sheer back. I got a fitted dress with blush and silver flowers...

It was A line tulle with a sparkly sheer top and sheer back. I got a fitted dress with blush and silver flowers and a sheer back. I had not really thought much of getting married so I never had a specific dress in mind. And I know if I changed my mind I would be out money and still want both dresses. My FH says I can't have two. Whew, I just needed to get that out! And maybe hear from others who felt a similar way.

Your dress is gorgeous but I completely understand how you feel. I have dress regret all the time, I try to remind myself of they I felt it in compared to the other dresses I tried on it. I think once alterations are done and everything is put together it will be fine.

I went to David's bridal first, and then to a boutique. I went from falling in love with a $500 dress, to a $5,000 dress. So to compromise, I am taking things I love about the 5,000 dress, into my 500 dollar dress. I don't think there's a problem with worrying you picked the right one, but the only solution there is is to try on your dress and fall in love all over again. If you don't fall In love every time, then it isn't your dress.

I was in your boat and had major dress regret, especially when "the one" came in and it fit so differently than the sample dress. I ultimately decided to buy my runner up dress from a different salon (since the original salon wouldn't work with me), and will trim elsewhere in the budget so I don't feel so guilty. Make sure you make your mind up by mid January at the latest since your wedding is in June and you'll have to account for it to be made, delivery, and alterations.

On another note, i think that dress looks incredible on you, Do you have a picture of the runner up?

I bought my dress pretty early but was 100% sure it was the right one. A couple months before the wedding I kept thinking about the runner up also. But I just let it go because I definitely couldn't afford to change my mind. I felt so amazing on my wedding day and in my photos. I literally just looked at pics of the other dress for the first time since the wedding and I do not feel the same way! My dress was always the right one for me I just had some nervous second thoughts.

Here is the 2nd dress. I know I need to get over this feeling. To the person who said they question if they missed their chance to wear an elaborate gown, I feel that way too! The designer is Lillian West!

Both are beautiful, but.. your second choice made my jaw drop, sorry-I know that's not helpful. You bought Dress 1 for a reason though, maybe it's more "you"..?

I think that your dress is beautiful. I have some dress regret but it's because of weight gain.

Very pretty, no more doubt. Just imagine it when your all jacked up with the hair and jewerly. Stunning you will be. I personally did the same thing, not with another dress to compare. Just feeling like I could've looked more. But, I stopped myself from thinking that way and I just keep looking at how it looked and felt on.

I agree with other posters that it doesn't sound like regret, it sounds like you love two dresses.

However the dress in the photo is beautiful and looks fantastic on you.

I think the first one looks much better on you!

I think most people experience dress regret at some point.
