ISO blankets for wedding favor

Hey everyone, I am having a semi-outdoor wedding in November 2018, I'm looking for a place to get blankets from in bulk that isn't extremely expensive. I want to have them as a favor for our guests to take home and be able to wrap up in if they get chilly.

North Central PA in November will probably never be 70 degrees. Anyways, try eBay, search bulk or wholesale blankets. Buy two for every guest because they're going to need it..

You should buy snow suits instead. Unless your wedding is at 12 noon in the wide open and you are lucky enough to have full sun, there is a 100% chance it will be 40 degrees or lower at some point during your wedding.

    A) I'm planning to use Ikea $2.99 fleece plus what I can discover at local thrift shops in good condition.

    B) You can also make fleece blankets relatively cheaply if you watch sales at Michael's, JoAnn Fabrics etc.--all you have to do is stitch around the edge for finishing

    C) For the love of all that's holy. I'm spending a fortune on food and drinks and music and decor for my guests' enjoyment. I can ask them, with notice and an encouragement to dress appropriately for the weather, to sit outside in chilly weather for half an hour. The number of times I've sat outside in 80-90 degree weather for a summer wedding...and I HATE being hot. But I'm a grown up, and I knew a wedding in Southern Illinois in the summer was going to be warm and dressed accordingly. It's MY wedding. I love the cold. My only picture of my wedding has always been a fall forest wedding. I'm getting married in November, at 3pm, and it'll probably be somewhere around 55-60 degrees. I'm supplying hot drinks, blankets, and encouraging guests to dress for comfort. I'm not compromising the top thing on my list of importants to make sure my guests aren't a little uncomfortable for a short period of time. (I would totally, with joy, sit outside in 20 degree weather to watch people I love get married. I've done it to watch a parade, so a wedding is a MUCH better reason).

Hey guys!! I am doing the same thing, and Walmart has fleece blankets that are 50inch x 60inch for $2.50 a piece! Every time we go, we pick up a few! We love it!

How did the wedding turn out? I'm planning for November 2019, and I'm in NH so the sane weather could happen for me as well.

    Congrats!

Yes! You do do you! I fully agree with everything you are saying! I have dreamed of a winter wedding and having it indoors does not cut it! The comments about it "being too cold" or "move inside" is not helpful! I too will have hot drinks and i need to figure out blankets and i have a whole section on my wedding website about what to wear.

I'm a bit late to this party, but I was looking for blankets to hand out for my beach wedding in Feb and thought I'd share the deal I just found:

Walmart, Amazon and some other sites will have some in the $5+ range. I happened to go to Kohl's, who is having a sale on one particular fleece blanket that was originally $9.99 marked down to $4.99. On top of that, they had a coupon code that I was able to "stack" onto the order that reduced each blanket down to $2.99! I kind of stumbled upon the deal, so my best advice is to try not to go for the bulk deals. Try to look for the sales on individual blankets and stock up. It could be cute to mix and match patterns! I hope this helps!
