Is videography necessary?

I am a bit nervous about finding a photographer. I know photos are important, but what about a video? Will it ever even get watched? Please tell me your experience with video/no video. Thanks!

Thank you. I am probably stressing uneccessarily. I just know that this is a one shot deal. Once its over its over and I can't go back and get it done again. Its a little nerve-wracking.

I can definitely understand And I think most brides want to capture their special day video or photo. If you're not a person who would be watching your wedding video a lot, neither your FH then don't do it if it helps save money. However weigh your pros and cons and see if it's best for YOU. As far as photography goes, there's so many great photographers out there now - pick one that makes you feel a sense of nostalgia when you think about your wedding day. That may compensate for not having a videographer. Pictures can capture moments as well!

Videography is not necessary. It's a luxury that some choose to indulge in.

My FH is a producer/director, and will not take a wedding video job for less than $10,000 because of the time and attention to detail he puts into the edit. You pay for what you get - so if you go inexpensive, expect a cheap product.
