So I absolutely LOVE my engagement ring! However, it is so delicate because of the shape that it gets caught in things and is now bent and gotten misshaped

So, we started looking at ring enhancers as a way to protect it. I fell in love with this band, which is totally not my style, but now I’m wondering if it is too gaudy and tacky…? It makes the ring so different, I just don’t know if it’s too much

😳 honest opinions PLEASE!

It doesn’t look tacky & is so beautiful! But alternatively, can you get the misshaped ring fixed? Because where I got my ring from if anything like this were to happen they’d fix it for free and/ or give me a new one! So I’d check in with your jeweler to see what can be done! This way maybe you won’t even need the enhancer!! Because realistically you’re ring shouldn’t misshape easily, regardless of the size/ type of stone. A good friend of mine actually has a marquise ring as well & she hasn’t had any misshaping issues (& she’s had her ring for at least 3 years now)! Wishing you the best with this ❤️

Yes I am going to get it fixed!! Sorry I wrote this late last night lying in bed panicking LOL the enhancer isn’t to fix the problem, just to protect it so it doesn’t bend again. I am going to wait on soldering it, we have 30 days to return so I may look at strengthening it like you said!! So many good ideas on here I’m glad I asked! Thank you everyone !

Everyone has such different styles. i like that you have a unique ring that we don't see a thousand times everywhere else haha. if you like it, that's what matters

It isn't my style, but if you love it you should get it! Don't worry about what other people will think, because they're not the one wearing it - I have a natural peach sapphire ring and I'm sure many people hate it, or think it cost much less than a diamond of the same size, but it didn't. Do I care? not really - it's exactly what I told my fiancé I wanted when we started to talk about rings. I'm the one who sees it every day and it brings me joy and happiness. If this ring enhancer does that for you, then get it! In these covid times, why deny yourself something that could make you happy if you don't need to?
