I have had this person text me repeatedly to “claim my gift” I don’t believe I signed up for anything and I am afraid that if I click on the link they sent me I will get hacked. Has anyone gotten a text like this and is it real?

That's creepy. I have never seen anything like that, but I would assume that it's not real.

If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. I would not feel comfortable pursuing that.

That could be a Mary Kay thing. I think I remember something about them being affiliated with David's Bridal, or perhaps this person got your contact info from a wedding expo-type event? Either way, it sounds a lot like a sales pitch. I would research the Mary Kay pitch for brides (probably several posts on this forum already) and go from there.

I agree with Allie - did you perhaps go to a wedding expo or something? that's usually something that sounds like it would be from that kind of event

I think it sounds like an MLM too. Best to ignore it.

I get these too. I believe it's from a bridal show. I still don't click anything since I don't remember entering the giveaway!

I got one kinda like that a year ago and it was real. We got decent gifts (still had to pay taxes and shipping but they were still nice). This looks like a different company thought. Did you go to a bridal show recently? If so it might be real but they might want you to buy something too

A quick google search would indicate that it is not legitimate

You could reply and ask what organization it’s from. It seems odd that ‘Debi’ didn’t introduce herself fully, but it is possible that it’s from a real company or bridal show.

Definitely some MLM nonsense. I usually reply "STOP" or "UNSUBSCRIBE" to get my point across

I just got the same text, word for word. I ignored it last week and here they are back again. I know I didn’t enter for a facial, so I think I’m gonna ignore them.
