Is this ghetto??

Jan87, on April 15, 2014 at 9:18 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 16

I want to include on my RSVP cards the option to also email RSVPs. The problem is I already got the RSVPs printed and they did not include that information (it was an after thought). Is it tacky if I handwrite "RSVPs can also be emailed to ****@****.*** directly on the RSVPs?

I would not hand write them on there. Did you print these yourself or did you get them made?

Please don't hand write them! You could make business card size inserts from vista print for so cheap!

I got them made. I was going to include a little card with the invitations that says this but that is another thing to add to the package that may be easy to get lost.

This really depends on your RSVPs (are they glossy, thickness, print, etc) but you "could" try to send one through your printer and adding that line to your RSVP card if you have the room. Of course make sure it matches (font, color, etc).

Otherwise I would just suck it up and leave it as is. Maybe do a vellum overlay and have the information printed on there.

WHat does it say on the RSVP card? if they can still mail it in just rely on that. id say it is a lil ghetto to write it in. I'd go ahead and mention it on your website too

Yeah I don't think id handwrite it either. Did you include wedding website info anywhere? You could just put it on your website.

I dont have a website. I think I will just order business cards and have it printed on those. I was just getting stressed over getting different stamps for the RSVP envelopes and worried that I might not put enough postage on the envelopes for our out of town guests so I just wanted to give that simple option of emailing.

Don't handwrite it; print it on a separate business card.

Definitely do not hand write. If you did not want to do inserts, you can get a label maker and use clear tape to add that on. They are pretty cheap at staples.

I would just have people mail back the cards, unless you have people out of the country who have to RSVP.

Get some printable labels and print what you want on them then stick that ban boy on the RSVP enclosure...it'll be cheaper than the business card

Yes. I wouldn't do it. If you want, spread it by word of mouth

This may sound tacky but it really didn't seem like it to me-- a couple of months ago i got an invite to a wedding in the mail, i think the bride decided to add a separate small paper slip with additional information (website, registry) it was small and looked like it had been DIY at home--- printed on regular paper and inside a color margin that matched her invite. I didnt mind it at all it think it was a brilliant way to cut cost on an extra insert.
