Tammy, on July 11, 2023 at 9:49 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15
I’m in love with this dress but now worried it’s too sexy n revealing . We are having an August wedding at a beautiful venue in the water . Around 300 guest .
Some useful info :We are not religious or traditional . Been together for 14 years and have two young kids . Is this dress too sexy ? 1

Personally I'd go for a nude liner or something on the bottom. I think it gives off some sexy legs vibes lol. But if you're comfortable and love it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's not my personal style. I don't really think wedding dress when I see it. But if you like that's all that matters.

I agree with Veronica – I don’t really think “wedding dress” when I look at it. But it looks great on you, and if that’s the look you’re going for, then I say go for it!

I’m so on the fence about it ! I love it so much and I always dress so plain Jane I would like to have one day to be sexy n confidant . Also we had a small wedding last year , I was pregnant and dressed very classy and elegant . I’m thinking this time I’ll go all out lol

The dress looks great on you, but it gives me more “after party” vibes then actual wedding vibes. I guess the other question is, when you look back on photos 50 years from now, will you be admiring how amazing you look or cringing at your dress choice?

I think it looks great on you! How do you think you’ll feel day of in front of all your closest family and loved ones? If you think you’ll feel self conscious or regret your choice, then go with something else. But if you know you’ll feel happy and sexy, then do it! If you got it, flaunt it, and girl, you got it!

I’d personally want lining to go a bit longer in the leg department. Real talk: IF you’re worried about what your guests will think, they’ll probably be thinking that it is revealing in the upper leg department. If you’re NOT worried about what your guests are thinking and you love it, then who cares! (Well I’ll caveat that with, I would consider what you think your partner would think too. I know my husband might like to see ME in that dress, but he might feel uncomfortable ogling me in the dress in front of his grandma 😂)

White lace aside this reads more bathing suit or lingerie than wedding dress. It barely covers your rear end or any end for that matter. Religious, traditional or not, maybe it’s appropriate for an elopement entirely on the beach but IMO not a mixed guest list of 300 at an upscale venue.

You definitely can be sexy in a wedding dress, and with your figure it's easily done. But, I think the top lace faux straps thicken you and your figure becomes like the letter "I". It needs sheer side panels, and a couple layers in the skirt, either sparkly semi-sheer, nude underlay or both. A sheer skirt can be done well in a mermaid design. Here are some long-sleeved, illusion dresses that may be less beachy bohemian and more 300 person event:

Berta is well-known for this: https://www.berta.com/#1

I think it's hilarious a child is under the skirt in both pics! Best of luck.

I mean it's not offensive to me or anything and I love love the top part. The bottom is giving me beach cover up vibes though, so if that's the look that you like and it's a beach wedding then it works. If it's a formal venue, it might look out of place.

If you like it and feel comfortable in it that’s what’s most important. Since you asked for opinions this is personally not my style, while maybe fun to wear just for my partner I wouldn’t be comfortable wearing this dress in front of 300 people at a formal event. But you do what makes you happy . 🩷

The seamstress says she can add a mini skirt underneath . We’ll see . I’ll probably try more dresses on while I’m there .
The venue is on the water so kinda beachy vibes 🤷‍♀️
