We had a custom order cake topper and it came a week too late. Needless to say, I was very bummed. I'm a flexible "Type-A"; I get that things will not be perfect but I aim too high sometimes. Anyhoo, we were thinking of ways we can still salvage the late cake topper.
We were thinking of bringing the cake topper with us on our honeymoon and posing with it but I'm also thinking about this (bear with me haha)
New parents (with their first child) always celebrate their baby's month birthdays. I was thinking we can get a pie or cake (whatever is seasonal) and pose with our cake topper for every month. It's also a good excuse to have cake haha on top of that, we can add those "baby milestone" signs with it 
"together we gain/lost 5 lbs" this month. We learned to: ______; exciting milestones: just got new home!" Something silly and fun for the first year of marriage.
Thoughts? Any more ideas?
