Is there a cost for bridal appointments?

Maricarmen, on January 5, 2019 at 1:38 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 14
Hello
honestly really scared of wedding dress shopping lol idk why! Does every bridal store charge for appointments? I know David’s Bridal doesn’t.

Because a lot of places book up on weekends and if people no show for appointments that’s a potential lost sale. I know the place I got my dress didn’t charge if you cancel the appointment with 24 hours notice.

I havent been charged for any. Davids Bridal or local boutiques. I'm a super introverted person and Ive brought no one with me shopping, so its been scary! But when you get a really good stylist, it helps. if you go to DB, id check the reviews of your local stores. Im at DB right now as we speak and its super busy, but the staff has been helpful

I know higher end bridal salons will make you pay for missing an appointment or if you want to book the entire bridal salon for just yourself and your entourage.

No. I’ve gone to Kleinfeld, RK Bridal, Amelia’s bridal, Bijuju and Jaehee bridal and none of them required a deposit. I believe Kleinfeld required my credit card incase I cancelled but I honestly cant remember

I didn’t know this existed either until I read something about David’s bridal being free so I figured there is places that charge.

I googled Kleinfeld and it said something about being charged. I guess it’s wrong. Thanks

To clarify I don’t think there are places that charge for appointments. There are places that require a credit card number when making the appointment and will only charge it if you no show.

You’re charged if you dont show up. If you show up to your scheduled appointment its free. Great experience. Didnt find THE dress there but it was definitely a fun time

I went to 3 in Denver, none had me pay to dress shop. I probably wouldn't have gone if they did. I just booked the appointments about a month in advance!

I recently try to book an appointment and the store specifically told me it's a fee and not a deposit for no show. They said if I purchase the dress within 2 weeks from they store, the $50 fee will be applied toward the dress. Otherwise, it's non-refundable. This is ridiculous. How can I shop around for my dress if I have to pay a fee for every fitting.
