Is the Boutonnière too big

My future son in law asked for bullet casings for the boutonnières. My question is that they are about 6 inches from bottom to tip of the lavender. Is that too large? Should I have a smaller rose? Smaller bullet casing? As I have one an inch shorter, also shot gun shells. I am just lost by now ugh

I can't say this is my style, but I found another thread with pictures: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/discussions/archive/boutonniere--t1836810

I like your second picture with the smaller wildflower. Perhaps try with one, smaller shell and vertical placement rather than diagonal.

I kind of like it without the rose! I love the lavender 💜
