Is Search of Moscow Mule Mugs

Christina, on March 13, 2017 at 4:58 AM Posted in Planning 0 17

Does anyone know where I could purchase Moscow Mule mugs in bulk? I have this idea of each place setting having a copper Moscow Mule mug that would be my guests' favor but also work with our signature drink. I think it would look beautiful and now I'm obsessed with finding them but I'm having no luck.

This is not where I"d spend hundreds of dollars, frankly. For starters, not everyone will drink them, not everyone will use them afterwards, and at the end of the wedding they're stuck taking a dirty cup home with them.

I've seen a lot of these as sig drinks lately, but as I said, not everyone has one, and I don't think it would occur to anyone to take a bar glass home with them. If you want to serve them, rent them from a rental company and serve them at the bar.

    Thank you, Ashley!

Fortunately for me, the cost of the mugs is in our wedding budget if we can buy them somewhere in bulk. My venue has a restaurant/bar attached and although they do serve Moscow mules, they would not allow us to use their copper mugs as they have had issues in the past with wedding guests taking them home.

How about negotiating with your venue on this? If their reasoning is that people might walk off with them, can't you just agree to pay for any that go missing? Seems WAY cheaper and more reasonable than buying a bunch of expensive specialty mugs that most guests won't have a use for anyway.

StPaulGal, I did speak to our wedding coordinator that works for the venue and I also emailed the manager of events and was given the same response. I wonder if I tried working with the manager on the restaurant side of things at the venue, I may have a little more luck. I will try but I honestly do not mind paying for the mugs if it doubled as a favor. I just need to find somewhere to get them!

    Thanks everyone for your input!

Look on Alibaba.com, you can get them for $1-$2 each if you're buying in bulk.

I looked into this and the cheapest I could find them were $5 each. Totally not worth over 600 for one night when most people will no keep refilling their mug with different drinks.

Cute idea! But girl, these mugs are so expensive! We got two and paid over $30. (You want the real copper ones for it to be a true Moscow mule)
