Is only hosting beer and wine okay?

but in all seriousness, cocktails are nice. But if a bride and groom can afford wine and beer only that’s more than enough for me.

I'd be totally OK with that. If an invited guests is disappointed in their FREE options --- they can stay home. It's very ungrateful to demand specifics on bar items as a guest.

Beer and wine is great!

We are only hosting beer and wine! We can't afford a full bar with liquor so we opted for beer and wine only.

We had a limited bar at our wedding, but no one had to pay for anything. I would prefer only having beer and wine and maybe a signature cocktail as opposed to having to pay for some things, but not others. But, I wouldn't call it rude.

I forgot to add, but can you look into the option of having wine + beer and one or two signature drinks?

I’ve been to several wedding that only host beer and wine, never been upset by it and never heard complaints either. We’re doing beer, wine, and 2 specialty cocktails only because adding on the specialty cocktails was only $1.50 more per person.

I don't think that's an option for my venue unfortunately I'll definitely ask but from the paper that was given to me with the catering options, the only ala carte hosted options are for beer, wine, and champagne

Thank you all, I feel a lot better now!! I've heard a lot of places that not having a full open bar is rude and I just didn't understand because there's free alcohol anyways right?? I appreciate all your input!

We r doing beer and wine as well. We also added a signature drink at our expense but the bar will also be available if guests want to purchase something different.

We're doing 3 types of beers (my favorite, MOH favorite and Best mans favorite) two wines, and two mixed drinks (FH and mine)

Ahhh okay~ Then beer and wine are just fine! I wouldn't get mad at a couple for having only beer and wine

Plus, if I really wanted hard liquor, I'd just pack my car trunk
