Is my dress too pretty for a veil?!

My vision for my wedding day was always to have a veil, because your wedding day is the one day you can wear a veil. My vision for my wedding day was always to have a veil, because your wedding day is the one day you can wear a veil. When trying on dresses I was drawn to the ones with beautiful lace backs and when I asked my consultant what type of veil I should do with it, she said she would skip a veil because you don't want to cover a back that beautiful. I completely agree, because the back is my favorite part, but now I'm second guessing myself. What do you think? I was thinking maybe just purchase a veil and wear it in at least a few photos?

You can also find a short veil that only covers to the top of the dress instead of coming down over the dress

You will see the back of your dress during the ceremony if you choose a single layer veil! I would go with a cathedral length veil so that the edge of the veil doesn't end right where the pretty detailing is. You could also take your veil off during pictures so you have some with and some without your veil.

I included this pic of my wedding because even though the back of my dress isn't detailed, you can clearly see through my veil to the beading on the back of the dress!

I think a veil would be a great accent.

What about a bird cage veil or a head piece? The back of my dress is too pretty to hide so I think I am just going to wear flowers in my hair.

Birdcage veil! I love veils and couldn't see myself without one, but the back of your dress is gorgeous and since you aren't having a reception, it would be a shame to cover it up the whole time. So the birdcage veil will help complete the look and not cover anything up!

I would wear one for ceremony and take it off for reception. That back is gorgeous, you dont wanna hide it!

I say have a veil they have a lot that are gorgeous that will still let you see the dress I personally would regret not wearing one because you can only wear a veil once I love my veil

My back is full of details like yours and I'm wearing a veil for the ceremony. It's a super simple veil that I'm only wearing for the ceremony and a few (but not all) pics.
