Is July, August or October a good month to get married at the beach?

Merelyn, on May 30, 2019 at 9:26 AM Posted in Planning 0 8
So my fiancé and I want to get married this year, we live in Palm Beach County FL. We want a beach wedding ceremony at Jupiter beach, all of our families & closed friends live in FL too. so we were thinking maybe July or August the ceremony starting at 6:30pm however in Florida during the summer almost every day rains (which really sucks). This will just be a beach ceremony then we will proceed to my sister's house (a big house with pool) for the party and dancing. Meaning I don't have any venue, my plan is just to have a beach ceremony then party at a house. However I'm scared if the day of the ceremony rains, that will be a risk we have to take. then I was talking maybe I should get married in October but the hurricane season goes "from June 1st to November30th" we can't do Nov or Dec because my fiancé is a barber and those months are the busiest months for him, and after the wedding we want to go on our honey moon at least 5 days and I don't want him to miss days of work during his busy time. =/ don't know what we should do, any advise? July, August or Oct?

What about a January or February wedding? I've been to Florida during February, several times, and the weather is just perfect.

I would suggest January or February. July, August, and October are very hot muggy months in Florida and I think people would be uncomfortable sitting at the beach fully clothed. Ask the mosquitos are horrible in those months as well.

For Florida July and August will be very uncomfortable for your guests. In October I would worry about possible Hurricanes. Maybe a winter or spring month would be better? Or early November?

We want it to be this year Smiley sad plus one of my best friends can came before July 21 or between August 21st to Oct 21st she works in a cruise. and afternoon Nov she will move to Europe for 1 or 2 years. The lady who might handle our beach ceremony said that it will need to begin 6:30pm & the ceremony is only 20 mins... but the problem is July rains almost everyday usually in the afternoon.. that is why I was thinking Oct because in Oct doesn't rain but I'm hoping there is no hurricanes lol, I mean there wasn't last year where I lived in Palm Beach FL. anyways thanks for your suggestion.

It will have to be between Oct 12 to the 20th, I will need to talk to my bff if she can make it early Nov. will see what happens, but my fiancé wants July so we can travel to our honey moon which most likely will be Punta Cana. July and August are slow work season for him. Will see if not then my beach wedding ceremony will have to wait Smiley sad

I would aim for those few dates in October. I know how important it is to have your bff there, but you also have to consider how much her schedule should influence a day that is about you - you want to make sure that you are able to enjoy the day and aren't melting from the heat and humidity or feeling cheated because of the weather.
It's definitely a gamble to plan during hurricane season, especially if there isn't a venue. I would strongly recommend getting wedding insurance and speaking to your vendors about their policies regarding weather-related cancellations.
Ultimately, make a decision for you and your FH, not around anyone else's schedule.

July and August are way too hot for me to go to palm beach, so I’d go for October. You always need some sort of rain/bad weather plan (tent?). I went to a wedding in Jupiter last October and unfortunately while the WEATHER was absolutely perfect, it was during the red tide outbreak and they had to move the wedding away from the beach because of it Smiley sad
