Is it wrong not to extend invite to church family

Mary, on January 6, 2020 at 3:28 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6
Due to limited guests. I have decided not to extend an invite to my church family but the invite does go to my Pastor and First Lady. If the wedding was at my church I'd feel more obligated to invite everyone but since the wedding festivities are an hour away most probably wont show anyway and we are not socially that close. Does this make any sense at all??

You're definitely not obligated to invite everyone from your church, especially if you aren't close!

You definitely aren't required to invite all church members just because you are inviting your pastor. My brother had his wedding at their church and still only invited those he was close to.

Definitely don't feel obligated! We only invited a handful of people from our church due to seating limitations as well.

I think a wedding is a private event even at your church so I would only invite the people you want to invite.
