Is it weird that I don't want a Bachelorette Party

I didn't have one and I don't regret it one bit. The theatrics of bachelorette parties are just way too intense for my taste. My MOH and my sister were upset that I didn't do anything and insisted we go for high tea -no gifts of any sort (just the three of us). It was perfect!

My fiancée and I decided to do a joint thing. We didn't really want the whole bachelor/bachelorette thing anyway. So we decided to rent a huge lake house for a weekend and have all our friends come along.

My MoH us putting an evening together. I didn't want to go bar hopping, and strippers and anything penis is out of the question. We're going to dinner at this place called the chocolate café. Then a BYOB paintnite studio. And maybe go have a few drinks after. The canvas and drinking is the main event though. Everything else is just extra.

Completely okay! I am not having one either. I'm 40 and getting married for the first time. All my bridesmaids have families of their own to tend to. I will probably just have dinner with them. I'm not having a bridal shower either. I'm having a small, out of state, wedding. So, I am not going to ask a bunch of people who arent invited to come and shower me with gifts. Plain and simple. Just like me.
