Is it too much?

ARIEL, on September 17, 2019 at 9:38 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 28

Hello!

So my fiance knows that I am pretty fashion forward/like to be daring. He says he wouldn't be surprised if I walked down the aisle in a suit or black dress but in my mind, those have been done so I'm not really looking into doing that. I was actually going to go complete opposite and go simple but of course, the daring side won't let me go completely simple. So ladies, please be completely honest (I can take it, trust me). Would the headbands below be too much? I was thinking something like below with big natural hair (channeling my inner Beyonce)

I say go for it! If it's your personality and style, why mask it on your wedding day?

I think these are cool. I personally, as a simple dresser who is less fashion forward, would not feel as though I could pull it off.... however! My sister who is very fashion forward and can pull off basically anything, would not only look great in it but no one who knows her would be surprised by something like this. If that's you, I say go for it!

I think it's daring and will have an editorial look. If you want to stand out, you will. You can always get photos with and without the headpiece. Out of the options, I'm drawn to the first headband. A great idea would be to buy something you can return and try it out!

I personally could not pull it off, but if it screams you then go for it. And like the PP said you can have some pics with it on and some with it off.

I think the dramatic halo would look SO good with big natural hair. Not a fan personally of the simple halo. If you plan on having a glam themed wedding, I definitely think you could pull it off! Why not go all out and be daring on your big day? Smiley winking

I love the first one, just make sure the dress can stand up to all that glamour of course! Looks like a goddess.

I think you will ROCK a dramatic halo or tiara. (Just be sure it doesn’t look too...statue of liberty I guess? Unless you’re into that lol 😂) I really can’t wait to see what you end up getting.

I couldn't pull that off, but if it's your style, do it! I like the first one the best! It's very dramatic!

I couldn't pull it off, but if you're a fashion forward person anyway, then go for it!

Awww thank you everyone!! My colors are white and gold, with big gold alter pieces so I thought it would actually fit my theme. Differently all for the drama. I was already going to have a dramatic face and big crazy hair so I think this will take it to the step needed.

That's a great idea! I'll buy it and then also bring it with me when I go dress shopping!

Myself and all my family are from New York (90 percent of my family and friends are coming from New York to attend) so maybe looking like the Statue of Liberty wouldn't be half bad lol

Ohhh I can’t wait to see your pictures!!! I think the simple halo is too simple especially if you’re going big hair. I really like the first one.

For me personally, yes. I tried to go with classic things. My big "crazy" thing was red lipstick but it seems classic and was a tribute to my grandmother. I just didn't want to look back & be bummed I went with a trend like my mother's giant sleeves on her wedding dress in 1990!
