Is it tacky to ask for Cash? I always thought so.

We are well into our adult hood and have put very few items on our registry. I've always thought...regardless of the pretty poem...that guest should give you what THEY want to give you. Be it on the registry or a card of cash. I do think like including the little statement about 'we have are homes...

Your thoughts please????

I think wedding gifts in general get out of hand. I know it's common practice, but I do question why I deserve a gift because I decided to get married.

I wouldn't ask for cash as a gift.... BUT my confession is that I love when people i know ask for cash as a gift. So much easier... I hate shopping... even for people I love, and everyone can use cash. So if people ask for cash, I think "Hallelujah!" And go to the ATM vs. crowded stores Smiley smile

The "cute poems" are neither cute nor poems. They usually aren't even decent verse, much less poems. And why would someone want a serious, important rite of passage to be "cute," anyway?
