Is it possible to fit 11 people at a 60" round?

Tori, on March 11, 2019 at 1:54 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 17

I know it's pushing it but it's half kids. There's only 5 family children attending so I'd like them to sit with their parents. 6 adults and 5 kids? I know it's pushing it, but what do you all think?

That’s a lot. Kids move around a ton when they’re seated so personally I feel like that’s too many people at one table to be comfortable for anyone.

I don’t see 11 chairs sitting around one. 10 chairs is tight. Unless they’re kid chairs that are y’all enough to sit at the table they won’t fit

No, I don’t even think 11 chairs will fit comfortably around. Even if they fit people need elbow room. I wouldn’t be comfortable with that many people at that size table.
I think we got 9 around at a wedding I went to, we moved them from another table.

A 60" round table seats 6-8 people. I think 11 is too many, even with it being 5 kids.

10 is too many for a 60". You really shouldn't go more than 8.

I don’t think so. 10 is a squeeze at a 60” but can be done especially with smaller people. I don’t think you could even get an 11th chair in at a 60”

A 60" is 6-8 people, and a 72" is 8-10 people. If you were to have smaller child chairs or any high chairs,a 72" could perhaps work, but I don't see a 60" working

No because it’s not about the size of people it’s about chairs and place settings all fitting in that size.

Does anyone have any advice then? I really wanted all the kids to sit together, but it looks like I'm going to have to take out one couple and their son and put them somewhere else away from his cousins.

You could try putting another couple with a kid at the other table with the couple you just mentioned.

I wasn't worried about sitting kids together, though.

I would just sit them with other family members.

I guess I figured since there's only 5 they would like to be together. I've pretty much done my seating chart and I can't fit another couple with their kids somewhere else. Basically it's one couple and their 2 kids, another couple with their 2 kids, and another couple with their son. As far as tables go, I can only feet 3 people at one table. I have a couple tables with 1 or 2 empty seats, but not 4. So the one couple and their son would have to be separated. Oh well.

They're really only going to be sitting there during dinner and after that people roam around and dance, etc. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Can you get one 72" table? That would be tight but doable

I would just split it into one table of 5 and one table of 6. I would be so incredibly uncomfortable at a table that tight.

The venue supplies 10 60" round tables and 100 chairs. So we have to rent anything extra and we already did that.

Also, the one couple is not going to bring their son anymore so now the table is at 10 people and it's perfect! We put the other couple with other adults.
