Is it my responsibility to Find a Makeup Artist for my Bridesmaids?

All of the weddings that I have been in in the last few years had the same makeup/hair team do hair and makeup for everyone in the wedding. Would the person doing your hair and makeup be able to recommend one or two additional people that could come with them to do your bridesmaids hair and makeup?

Are you requiring them to have their makeup and hair done a certain way? If so then I would say yes just so they all know they'll be getting it done the same way.

Well depends. I have used the person they brought in for themselves but I paid. Can your person accommodate 11 people? If you choose then they cannot be picky about who you choose. I have also done my own make up so if you do not care how they do their hair or make up then they can find their own. Each wedding is different.

No I am not requiring the same styles. Individuality. But most of them are not flashy girls so the make up with me a natural glam look. Just to enhance what they already have.

I agree. I just sent a text to my makeup artist. She said she knows a couple ladies they may not mind coming to help her.

My cousin is a mua. She's definitely going to do my makeup and I let my bridesmaid know they can use her service as well if they want.

Yeah because I cannot imagine her being able to do 11 ladies. I would text them all if you book these ladies what their prices are and let these ladies know if they are willing to pay and if not then they can get their make up down with their own artist. I would not give them the impression you are paying for them.

I hired 4 artists for the 13 women getting ready at our wedding. I went last (closest to the wedding) but still hired all the women. If you decided on the look everyone must have, you should pay for all their HAMU. If they can pick their own look, they can pay for it if it's optional.

If you are requiring a certain hair and makeup look/style then yes, you are responsible. If you are letting them choose their own looks, then they are responsible for finding and paying for their own stylist or they can do their own. You can however ask the stylist you have coming in if she would have time to do theirs and what she would charge (if there would be a group discount) and let your girls know they need to pay her directly if they want her to do theirs. I would just make sure to give them a pay by date so she knows how many girls to prepare for.

Usually the makeup artist should have a team to assist with the others.

Example my makeup artist is doing my makeup and my mothers and she will have two makeup artists she works closely with on photoshoots do my bridesmaids makeup.

The plan is for them to have their own individual looks so therefore I feel like it should not be my responsibility. My MUA is solely servicing me. I am trying to figure some things out as we speak.

I did speak with her about an hour ago and she said that she has a couple of ladies that can assit her. Thanks so much.
