Is it a bad idea for your wedding day to be on a weekday?

Well, I'm really into the fall colors and autumn weddings, and my dad's birthday is August 22nd. It seemed perfect, except for the fact that the 22nd falls on a tuesday. I know that the timing is everything, especially when guests work and are usually busy on weekdays. And I also take into consideration that good sales packages and various date-specific vendors lower prices for services during the weekdays. Heelllpp lol i need tips/advice/ feedback.

    I am having a monday wedding and have gotten very few declines so far of 75 invited only two have said they won't make it. We have had an overwhelming positive response. We however went into it with the mindset that our date was more important than day of the week and this might cause a high decline rate and we were okay with that. It didn't turn out to be the response we received though.

    Neither my fiancé of I have a traditional work week. This also goes for many of our guests.

    We are also having a brunch/early afternoon wedding so people can still party and enjoy themselves and have plenty of time to get home and be ready for work on tuesday if they need to.

    That date for you has so much significance I would go for it. It is a beautiful way to honor your father. Ignore the haters on weekday weddings and go for it! Those that care about you will be positive and supporting Smiley smile

    I'm doing my wedding on a Monday... saves money and it's gonna be beautiful. Totallllly fine by me lol

    My date is special to me as well. We are getting married on a Thursday and celebrating on Saturday

    I know I wouldn't go to a Tuesday wedding. Thursday maybe, Friday definitely. Why do you need to get married on your dads birthday? Have your own day.
