My ring has beautiful diamonds on the side of the ring that the wedding bands it matches with (not yet purchased) will cover on on side. I discussed with my mom about not getting a wedding band the day my FH gets his. First she was opposed saying it is tradition and has major significance to your wedding day, but after a minute she didn't see the point of covering up the diamonds for another ring as well! What is everyones thoughts of just keeping ONLY my engagement ring as my marital ring? Also, possibly could get it or change my mind on future anniversary!)

I completely agree! I LOVE my engagement ring! And price points are definitely an option because why spend more?! I will definitely look on Amazon! Or possibly Etsy to support a local business! Thank you!

I am worried about the rubbing mostly if I do get a band that doesn't fit its curve! Thank you! Good luck to you too!

That’s what we are doing cheap ones for the ceremony and the few times we will wear them. We have jobs that don’t allow Jewelry. Maybe later on we will upgradeSmiley smile

Good luck! I don't believe that a wedding band means anything, tbh. It's just a piece of metal. You're married in your hearts and that's where it counts. I do want one just for the ceremony symbolism, but I also considered a latex one because I'm active and I can wear it swimming etc. I guess time will tell what I end up with!

I was also curious about this so I'm glad you asked. Fiance wants to buy me a wedding band, but I'm not quite sure if I want that or to use my e-ring as a wedding ring. It's just so beautiful and special already.

That's what we're doing bc we need honeymoon money lol. My engagement ring is beautiful, and my fiancee worked his a$$ off to get it for me, and if people dont like it or don't respect it, that's their problem. (Of course I hope one day he can buy me the band down the line tho 😅😊)

Yes! And agreed! I totally understand the sentimental reasons for him to want to give you/us a ring, but I still think I am in love with my e-ring, why get another! I will definitely wear my e-ring for day to day activities that aren't sport of will be rough on it. I think after our wedding I will get just a tiny band to put on for when I am gardening or hiking.... But I don't think i will exchange the plain band, i want to exchange my e-ring!!! What are your thoughts on that?!

YES!!! I am trying to save here and there for our honeymoons too!! And exactly!!! They worked hard for it and he was so excited to give it to me! I wanna just wear that! And yes, maybe a matching diamond band in the future for an anniversary. But for now a plane band when I don't want to loose diamonds will be fine! hahah

It is personal preference. I will probably do the same thing. I like my e-ring too much and I cannot find any type of band I like.

I didn't even think of that! I only think of traditional weddings like in the 80's, (aka how traditional I want my wedding!) but before that they didnt need another band! Thank you!

No, probably not. I will at some point probably get a band for the ceremony exchange and so that I have something to wear if I want to dress down, I can just wear the band but I have no plan as of yet to wear a band with my e-ring.

Like you said, a plain band for when you don't want to lose diamonds might be a good idea. As for switching out your e-ring, maybe you can get your current one modified if that suits you and your fiance better. Personally, I just want to wear my e-ring and not switch it out for anything else.
