My venue's quote says " 5 hour host bar, included with your entree selection"

does this mean the bar has already been paid for or will i have a bill for the bar at the end of the wedding??

I think you'd better check that one with them.

Ditto 2d. But it does sound like the per plate fee does include the 5 hour host bar... and that it would not be extra Smiley smile

Definitely check. Our estimate said "3 hour host bar, 2 hour cash bar" . We didn't choose that place, but it was one of those questions I would ask.

Hi Karrie. I pulled this from one of possible vendor contracts

"A consumption bar is when the “host” (whomever is paying the bill) is charged for each individual drink guests consume. In our menus, the prices are listed for individual glasses of wine and individual mixed drinks and bottles of beer. An open bar is purchased either with a meal package or by the hour (at least four hours for a wedding reception is typical) during which time your guests enjoy unlimited wine, beer, mixed drinks, sodas, juices and bottled water. In our experience, in most cases choosing an open bar package ends up being the more economical choice"

    Hope it helps!
