Recently gospel singer Erica Campbell admitted that her husband cheated earlier in their marriage. She said after prayer she began to think about her wedding vows and how she said "for better or for worst". Ultimately she asked herself "is he a mistake or did he make a mistake?" and decided to stay.

After the interview Erica received a lot of backlash because she is a Christian and people felt that she should have left the marriage.

What are your thoughts?

    I think she's definitely taking those vows seriously. It would be extremely hard for me to stay with my husband if he cheated on me. I truly admire her strength

    All situations and relationships are different so I dont think it's a one-size fits all. Depends on the circumstances, what triggered it, one time or on-going affair, kids, finances, etc. I agree that betrayal is hard to overcome and some will stay but wont forgive. Personally, it would be hard for me to continue the relationship but I can see myself being persuaded into staying. I think we have to support each other in those very personal decisions.

    He also made vows, and he did not abide by them.

    So, I question why she feels her vows mean more than his.. If he abandoned his vows, I would consider hers moot.

    I agree, there is no one size fits all, everyone has to do what they can live with.
