Is having a Maid of Honor a must?

Heyyyy my Beauties! So, is it is a must to appoint a Maid of Honor? Is it fine to just have Bridesmaids? What are you thoughts? What did some of my fellow Brides do?

That’s really great! I agree and felt the same putting so much pressure on the one person as you said they would be more than willing but it’s just how you feel about that responsibility it comes with. So I understand

I totally agree. Having a MOH is not a must or picking a favorite when at times the person picked may not be the most reliable in the end could end up being another bridesmaids so in the end they all could be special in their own way reasons why you would pick them for your special day to begin with.

Now that I totally agree. I to myself am used to doing it all, so I wouldn’t want anyone going over board for me financially. Also overstepping boundaries became of a title is not acceptable so to alleviate all of that just keep it as one and appreciate all of them based on their individual uniqueness.

Oh ok now that works designating people knowing their individual strengths and talents that then helps everyone and no one would feel less than the other. I like that idea. Glad it all worked out great.

That is really great. Your Bff and yourself were both able to hold the title in honor of one another’s most important day as well as not necessarily expecting each other to go over board but still do the simple things like helping with your dress and safe keeping your ring & bouquet. I am glad it turned out great.

Niceeee!!! I actually wanted a man of honor my God father but he literally passed away last November right after I got engaged so those plans quickly changed. He would have been the best he was so extra lol fun bubbly spirit over the top like me but since then I just wasn’t sure if I should consider having one or just have the bridesmaids since the one person I wanted is no longer here. I am glad it all worked out for you.

I’m sorry for your loss. Maybe there is a way to pay tribute to him on the day? I’ve seen people do things like take the loved one’s old tie and cut the fabric into a heart to sew inside the wedding dress or have a locket/mini-frame-charm with the loved one’s photo tied around the bouquet so they are there too. Just some ideas!

Yes! Thank you, we didn't set any expectations on each other, we did what we could to help each other. Her moral support, has been very important.
Good luck on your decision! It will be fine, no matter what choice you makeSmiley smile

Yes. I was more of the family-friendly personality, and the other bridesmaid was more into the going-out party planning lol so it all worked out
