Is Cleavage a Bad Thing?

So I have my wedding dress and I absolutely love it. And nearly everyone I show pictures to like it. But now I'm starting to think maybe too much cleavage? My mom loves the dress and thinks it's fine but I did have one of her friends and one of my friends make that dumb comment like "Does your...
So I have my wedding dress and I absolutely love it. And nearly everyone I show pictures to like it. But now I'm starting to think maybe too much cleavage? My mom loves the dress and thinks it's fine but I did have one of her friends and one of my friends make that dumb comment like "Does your mom/grandma approve?" I'm guessing in reference to the cleavage (even though I'm a 24 year old woman.) Just wondering if it could be too much for the wedding.

I should mention that in the picture the dress is too small and not fitted to my body measurements. I'm guessing once I get the dress in my size it will probably cover more but it's still a deep V.

I love it. You look amazing. If you feel comfortable in the dress then rock that dress! You pull it off very well.

I think this dress looks beautiful on you and I don't thik that's too much cleavage at all! If you're comfortable in it that's all that matters.

I think some wedding dresses are little too revealing for my taste as I am usually trying to hide my chest due to its rather large size. This is not too revealing though. Once it fits perfectly, you will be fine. As someone with a larger chest. Covering them too much would make you look top heavy. You look gorgeous!

It depends. It is borderline, just on the okay side of the line, now. Many clergy would not let you wear it as is for the ceremony, if you are having a religious ceremony . When you get the larger size dress, you may find that the sides are up to 1.5 inches further apart, and much more revealing. If that becomes too revealing for the ceremony, though fine for an adult reception, still get the dress. It is great, everywhere. But have a small modesty panel made , or have an embellishment of crystals or lace, either temporary, remove after ceremony, or permanent, worked in the sheer mesh between the breasts. Either is a common minor alteration. And a removable modesty panel, small triangular piece, may please clergy or family who find cleavage shocking .

You look amazing! I think this is a great amount of cleavage lol. Enough to be sexy but covered up enough to be classy. And like you said, your actual dress will fit you much better.

It looks made for you! It really is up to you not anyone else because you have to wear it.

I picked a dress with a similar neckline and had 5 family members back out of coming 3 days before the wedding due to the males policy “of avoiding places where they know there will be an immodestly dressed woman.” True story and not expected at all by me.

Really hurt because a. I didn’t think it was that bad, b. They only knew because I showed my aunt a picture in excitement c. It’s just a cruddy thing to do in general... backing out of a wedding last minute, d. They go out in public and to sporting events where I’m pretty sure there are more scantily clad women and e. It’s a common/prevalent style and almost impossible to find a dress that isn’t sleeveless or with a v neck or illusion panel.

I still rocked my dress and loved it, and don’t want to discourage you from what you like... but more to know your audience.

You are stunning! Don't fret over the cleavage. My daughter's wedding dress has a similar cut for the cleavage. My stodgy old mom is not offended or worried, and she bought the dress. When you are older and looking back you will be glad you did it. Do what feels comfortable for you. It's your day after all! But just remember, you are stunning and will make an absolutely beautiful bride no matter what. :-)

No ma'am, your dress is fine. My dress has cleavage showing and long as I'm happy and my FH is happy. I dont care what nobody say. The way my dress is, I cant even wear a bra and I'm ok with that. Enjoy your dress, il love it. This time next week I will be Mrs. Smith

    Hey girl hey!

First I want to say I’m sorry that a few people made that comment. One negative thing sticks more than all the positive comments. How do you feel in the dress? Are you comfortable in the dress with the deep v? I don’t think you are showing too much cleavage. It’s your wedding day and you should wear whatever makes you happy and comfortable.

Try to remember how that dress made you feel when you first put it on and before the negative comments. If you have positive vibes than go with it girl. They could just be jealous cuz they don’t have the nerve or the chest to truly flaunt a deep v.

Happy wedding planning. Just remember you and your new spouse feelings is what truly matters.

    Girl, it's fine!

My dress also has a deep V like that, which hits about my lower ribcage. It's perfectly acceptable, especially if it is fitted correctly. If you feel like yourself in it, then go for it, but if you're doubting it keep looking. You're 24 boo, make the decision for yourself, and nobody else! Rock your wedding day!

I think it looks classy. You also have the nude mesh there to keep everything in while dancing.
