Is anyone else walking down the aisle to a sax and keyboard?

I'm contemplating doing this instead of a string quartet. I'm in need of some music ideas that could work for this musical combo. Thoughts?

That sounds nice. We are having a harpist for the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Our venue provides a keyboard player for the ceremony. If we don't use her, I'm just going to create a playlist and plug in my iPod Smiley smile

    Sheryl-

I like your idea- it is pretty original. I have seen keyboardists, string quartets, guitarists and harpists at weddings before, but never with a sax.

As a DJ, I see a wide variety in ceremony music played, whether I'm playing it or just providing amplification. When I started, almost every wedding used "Here Comes the Bride" etc, and now I play Vitamin String Quartet versions of populars songs, old slow songs and even a Buffett song the other day. My point is, figure out what you love; what you've always envisioned walking down the aisle to, and get the musicians to learn that song/songs. If they can't, then see what they have in the repertoire. You want the song to be special, but also well-played. Regardless, your guests won't have heard a live sax during the ceremony before, so it will be memorable and distinctly yours. Good luck!

    KC (and others),

Thanks for your thoughtful response. I can't say there is one that I love or have always dreamed about. Just trying to do something that hasn't been overdone at every other wedding in town!
