Is anyone buying their bridesmaids/groomsmen masks?

Claire, on September 17, 2020 at 2:36 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 9

We are getting married 10/10 and just kind of thinking about shopping around for bride's and groom's masks for ourselves for the reception.

We will have a pack of black disposable masks for guests to utilize if needed that I found on Amazon.

But I am curious if anyone is buying masks for their entire bridal party? They are just so expensive (from $10-$20 a piece for the "fancier" ones) but at the same time I feel obligated.

Being on a budget and spending another $200 some just kills me. Any thoughts/ideas on what other brides are doing? Thanks!

Yes, I did, bought special masks for me and my groom and the bridesmaids and groomsmen. We also have custom masks as favors to all the guests.

If you want your bridal party to all match, you could buy masks for them - the bridesmaids dress designers might also have masks for sale. If you're not concerned about them all matching, I would let them bring their own masks.

Date twins!!! I did the same thing as you and bought disposable masks from Amazon for my guests, if they forgot to bring their own, or want to wear one.

For my wedding party I got these ones from Azazie, and they're $5! They have lots of colors to choose from, nice silk, and have adjustable straps. I wanted my wedding party to match our colors, especially for group photos, so I figured these would work.

I made mine from my dress that my seamstress cut (hem). Crepe and lace. It’s easy. Or just buy a white mask and decorate it with lace?

I bought masks for our bridesmaids/groomsmen from etsy, but just for color coordination, and to also encourage them to wear them since they were kinda surprised at how seriously we were taking restrictions. I'm including them in the gifts along with a couple other things they can wear the day of, so it will be like required attire, similar to dresses/suits.

I made all of ours, we had a miniwedding but I made them for every guest. I'm so glad I did because our pictures look great; nice masks look more like accessories than disposable ones, so they feel like less of a reminder of everything that's going on.

I bought matching masks for the wedding party on Etsy ( our date is 10/31 ) and I bought individually wrapped black disposable masks for guests. Yes it was an additional $60, but I think it will be worth it.
