Hey everyone! My fiancé and I are going on a cruise for our honeymoon and I am planning on putting out a honeymoon fund shadow box or a money tree at the cards and gifts table. Hey everyone! My fiancé and I are going on a cruise for our honeymoon and I am planning on putting out a honeymoon fund shadow box or a money tree at the cards and gifts table. I can’t help but to think that it may seem rude that people have bought gifts and now I’m asking for money. We are going on a nice honeymoon but we definitely could use the travel and spending money ! So is it rude to do that ?

Yes definitely rude to put out a money box to ask for cash on top of what they already brought you

It depends on your crowd. In my opinion, I hate things like this at weddings since we have already typically spent $100+ on a gift (not including hotel or travel if we have to or a shower gift) so it seems kind of rude to ask for more money.

A lot of people have card boxes. So maybe not label it as honey fund
