Is a cake cutting song necessary?

I don't even remember if I had a song during cake cutting ahah. That's one of those things that's not necessary.

No one will think twice about your cake cutting song.

We didn’t do a cake cutting song. It was short and sweet with a few pics and then back to dancing.

So we talked about a cake cutting song and I had one in mind that I actually wanted to use but then we decided we didn’t care enough to make it something else to worry about, so we dropped it. But then as we were setting up to do our cake cutting, I was actually right by the iPod anyway so I just grabbed it and put it on, took 5 seconds :p it was nice to have it on because it’s one of my favorite songs and now it’s in the video of our cake cutting. It’s nice to have but not necessary at all

We’re going to have a song played that’s upbeat so people can keep dancing or eat cake.

I had no idea it was a thing until someone on here mentioned it. But once I thought about it, I thought it would be kind of cute to play a fun little song while we're getting ready and just to get everyone's attention so we're playing Sugar Sugar by the Archies

Didn’t have one, couldn’t tell you it music was even playing during it.... no clue. Tell your dj to do whatever and let this go out of your mind.

That's one of those things where its only a thing to worry about if you actually care about it. Some people do, some don't; its more about what will make your day easier/more fun/etc for you and your FS

Not necessary at all!

I have never been to a wedding with a cake cutting song, and I have been to dozens as a guest, and in the wedding party. When I worked catering, only once did someone do it. People were kind of snickering that it was like a kid's birthday. But it was a corny song. Most people just pause and have it quiet for a few minutes. And go on again with background music, or dance music, depending on the time the cake cutting was scheduled.

I don’t think it’s necessary but it is a cute idea
