Irrational Fear of Tan Lines :P

Mrs. Katie J, on May 31, 2013 at 5:16 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

So...

I'm Italian and I tan within an hour of going out in the sun.

My family and I vacation in OBX every year and our vacation is coming up very soon.

I will get tan lines, regardless of what I do and I do love being tan, however...

I have no idea how to avoid tan lines on my shoulders/chest/back or what to do about them once I get them!!!

I thought about getting a strapless suit but I'm rather busty and I'm afraid I'll...fall out...

Any tips on how to avoid them?? Or deal with them after the fact?? I've never spray tanned but was curious if they could cover it up or if it would just make the tan lines a different color??

I know my wedding isn't until October but with my skin tone, I will hold my tan the entire year - I still have my tan lines from LAST June Smiley winking

Any advice, tips or secrets as to what you guys did would be most appreciated! Smiley laugh

Agreed with Amy. Or just risk it and do a strapless suit lol.

    Amy V: That would be awesome but I don't usually lay out very much at the beach - I'm more of a surf-fishing, boogie-boarding, football-playing kind-of-girl so I can't be untied :/

Also - I'm not even close to confident enough to pull off a bikini with minny straps - I'm a 38DD and things would probably explode...everywhere. LoL

Try a strapless one piece they usually have sewn in cups and that weird sticky stuff at the top which will help you stay in.

I've been looking for one but I haven't been able to find any as of yet - the only strapless one-pieces that I've been able to find don't have a big enough top and I'm afraid to order anything online because of how differently every bathing suit fits.

I'm just curious what to do if I end up having to wear my strapped suit and I get tan lines - has anyone been able to successfully cover them up without looking ridiculous?? Or melting makeup all over your dress??

Ugh - Of all things to be worried about...LoL
