Inviting guests that weren’t invited to engagement party

Cassy, on June 23, 2019 at 10:52 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
My mom and bridal party recently through me an engagement party with pretty much all of the people on the guest list that are from my hometown. There’s some people that I just thought about that I’d like to add to the guest list for the wedding but can I invite people to the wedding that weren’t invited to the engagement party? Do you think it’d seem to rude to them?

I think that's fine. It's usually rude to give the other way: you don't want to invite people to pre-wedding events and not the wedding, but there should be anything wrong with inviting someone now. Engagement parties are usually pretty early on and held before a finalized guest list is really done.

I don't think it would be rude. Especially if you just thought of them now. Besides, you haven't actually sent out invites yet so it should be ok

I think it’s fine to invite people whom weren’t the engagement party. I feel like typically engagement parties have a smaller guest list anyways. I do however think if would be rude if you invites people to pre weddings parties and didn’t invite them to the actual wedding.
