Invites From Etsy

kbrands, on July 6, 2018 at 8:08 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 24

FH and I are trying to cut cost everywhere possible. I quickly realized that invitations are ridiculously expensive so we have considered ordering from etsy and printing our own. Has anyone used etsy to print their own invites? Where did you get them printed? What was the experience like, would you recommend it? Any help is appreciated!

I did it for a baby shower and printed them myself. I've also purchased a template for an upcoming bridal shower. They both look very nice!

Also check out Annsbridalbargains.com, they have great options and sales all the time. I was able to completely customize our invites using one of their templates. Shipping was quick too. We spent $80 for 75 invites (and that included an upgrade to a heavier paperweight).

I design printable stationery, so I have clients do this all the time! I’m also planning to designs and print for my upcoming wedding. For printing, Vistaprint and CatPrint are my favorite (budget-friendly) printing services!

We are going to use Etsy and I have been in contact with my seller for a while now. We are spending a little more and paying for her to print and adress the RSVP and big envelope of all my invites around 100. Itll be $526 for a pocket style invite with invite, RSVP(with meal choices), details card, envelopes and all addressing. Spending the extra 100ish for the addressing and printing didnt seem so bad since my handwriting sucks, and I was worried i'd mess the printing up myself.

Zazzle, Shutterfly & VistaPrint have a lot of designs and are always having sales (15-60% off). Design what you want in your account, sign up for their newsletter, order when they announce a sale. 😁

I’d highly recommend Cards and Pockets for printing. They have so many options and great prices. I just got my proofs from them and the quality is fantastic. I’m so excited to have nicer invitations at such a great price.

I didn’t print my own but I paid around $50 for 80 invites off VistaPrint so I would really price it out to see if it’s cheaper. There’s a lot of options on VistaPrint and you get the envelopes included. Plus they have great customer service, they sent me too few envelopes, I called them and I had a huge stack of more envelopes within a few days.

I got 150 wedding invites, 75 reception invites and rsvp cards done for under a 100. I bought a very simple invite cardstock from Michaels. Worked out the wording with the font type I liked. Took them to a local printer and they did all the printing. Just remember no one will keep the invite.

I've checked there and a million other sites. Unfortunately we are super picky on finding a design we both like that is less than $5 for a set. Thanks for the suggestion though! I will have to keep my eye out for some new designs on their site.

Did you design your own with them or did you use a design they already had created?

I got ours from EmmyPaperie. She has bundles, which includes, invitations, rsvp, rsvp postcard, details, thank you note, and a few other things. It was great.

I used one of their designs and then edited to match our colors and such. I was going for very basic so I didn’t need too much personalization. I was actually surprised by how much you could personalize though.

I ordered mine from etsy and had them print them as well. They were very helpful and went back and forth with me regarding changes.
