Invite snafu - forgot to put RSVP date on invitation?!?

Catherine & Nick, on September 30, 2015 at 10:44 PM Posted in Planning 0 7

I haven't posted or ventured on WW in eons (life got busy and then we found out I am pregnant!), so lots of wedding stuff fell on the back burner. With my pregnancy brain, I completely forgot to add the RSVP date on our invitations!! We don't have a formal RSVP card for guests to mail in (opting to do online RSVPs through our wedding website), so it completely slipped my mind. What's the best way to relay this information to my guests? I've been told word of mouth, add an extra note in the invite or print it on a sticker to add to our details card. I can put it on the wedding website as well (top of the intro page?!) What do you gals/guys think is best?

You could probably just put it on the site, or mail out a little post card just explaining that you forgot to put the date on there and put it on the post card! It would probably be easier just to explain it on the site, though! =)

We didn't do it on the invites. We included a separate card with RSVP date. Vista print, 9.99 for 500 business cards. Just did a little "kindly RSVP by May 1 at theknot.com/smith wedding". Who cares if it says the website twice. They guests will get doubly the reminder!

We did the RSVP business cards to RSVP on our wedding website too.

The business cards would be good but I would only need 100 of them! I'll check it out since the price is good (and I have a Vistaprint coupon anyway)

For us, most of our older guests haven't even looked at our wedsite. If you haven't mailed the invitations yet you could just add the little card. They'll never know you forgot Smiley smile

@foreverafter7 - I do have RSVP cards for a handful of older guests that aren't web saavy to mail back. Even though my details card already has the wedding website, it sounds like it isn't a bad idea to reiterate it with the RSVP date!
