Invite Send Date...help!

P & J, on October 15, 2019 at 7:04 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10
I have NO IDEA as to when would be a good time to send invites out. My wedding is on leap day 2.29.20 and my room blocks have to be reserved by 1.28.20. Considering its holiday season and we are about to be loaded down with holiday mail. When would you all suggest mailing the invites?

Hi!! My wedding is also 2.29.20 and I’m really struggling too. I am leaning toward sending November or beginning December but having the RSVP date as 1.15 or 1.20????? I’m stressing too!

Thanks! My only concern is if I do the 2 months before that’ll be the week of Christmas & New Years 😕, it’s such a dilemma!!

Send it beginning of December the earlier the better before the holidays in December. My wedding is this December and I sent my family invites in June lmao I gave them till 10/14 to rsvp, about 4 months.! I can’t chance it with my family and gave them plenty of notice. Which I want to say 99% rsvp already before 10/14 and attended my joint wedding shower on 10/05. I’m stressed enough and didn’t want to play a waiting game/guessing game on how may guest id have for vendors. I’m too much of a planner for that. I know not many agree with my method but waiting a month before the wedding for a rsvp was a no from me! Congrats!

Send it beginning of December before the holidays and give them till 01/20. That’s plenty of time for you and them to start planning! Just my thoughts. lol I didn’t do the suggested time frame as stated in my other post on here! Lol congrats!

Maybe do it three months before to avoid conflict with the holiday!

I think I might do the first week of December to give them a few weeks to RSVP like one of the above friends mentioned, I think that actually might solve my problem!

My wedding is 2.20.20 and I already sent my invites (most will have to travel so I wanted to give ample advance to take off work and make accommodations), the hotel block rooms have to be booked by 1.18.20, and my RSVP by date is 12.20.19. 😊 my rentals company needs a final count one month before so I figured two months before was a good RSVP time.

We are also getting married 2.29! We need to have our final headcount to our venue by 1.29. We are sending our invitations out the week before Thanksgiving (Nov. 17th-ish). The deadline to RSVP is 1.18 which will give us a few days to call anyone who didnt RSVP on time. You should include the information about the room block deadline with your invitations. Did you send out save the dates?
